Take this to heart

Lets get one thing clear, I don’t post pictures of myself because I’m comfortable with my looks I post them to get comfortable with myself. I’m not someone who is particularly confident with my looks and I’m not someone that is fishing for compliments. I do not like my body and I don’t by any standards think that I’m pretty. If you really knew me you would know the truth behind that.

My name is Monica, and I live life through a view finder. I love photography, and I hope to go to school to develop my skills to become an amazing photographer. I have a Panasonic G1 and she is my baby, and I have a Pentax Asahi 35mm. Another way I express myself, other than photography, is through dance. I’m a dancer at a local studio called Dance Alliance. I’m in a competition company, maybe you’ve heard of it before, we go by the name DARC. We’re the (pardon my french) shit, we kick serious butt. They are like a family to me, and I don’t know what I’ll do when I have to graduate and leave them behind. With a love of dancing you tend to develop a love of music. It just speaks to you in a different way then anyone else, because you grasp more of it. Music gets me through a lot, and lyrics speak to me and speak for me at times. I deeply adore any music that is written, sung, produced, or performed by Adam Young, (we’re birthday twins by the way). He is an inspiration to me, and even though I don’t know him personally at all I love him for all his music has done for me. I also like music from A Day to Remember, Deadmau5, Lights, and Missy Higgins to name some other favorites. Pretty much any kind of music I can find something that I like in it. I don’t have a job because I don’t have a lot of time to work, and my family is well off so I don’t feel pressured to get one to support the things I want to do in my free time. In the little free time I have I prefer to spend it with the most wonderful boy on the planet, my boyfriend Heath. We have been dating for over a year and he still puts the sun in my sky. He is everything I want, and nothing I don’t. He has shown me from the moment I met him that he will always treat me right, the way I deserve. He takes care of me, and I couldn’t ask for more from him then what he has already given. Unfortunately, he lives just over two hours away from me so we don’t get to see each other as often as we would both like, but we make it through because God helps us to. I want God to be my number one in life, and I find it at times a struggle to achieve that goal. I can always brag about how much God loves me, but I can never brag about how much I love him. With the life I lead I should be more then forever grateful to him, and I try to be as best as I possibly can. I went to a Catholic school until eighth grade, and until I met Heath I had never realized that I had no idea what Catholicism truly was. I no longer subscribe to any label of a religion, I just call myself a follower of Christ, a Christian. There is only one girl on this planet that I trust any detail of my life with. She has never given me a reason not to and has shown that she shares the same amount of trust invested in me. No one else connects with me or understands me as much as her, and I thank God everyday that I have her. Her name is Emily and she is my best friend. I can’t really think of much else to say right now if you want to know something you can always ask me, if you need anything like advice or someone to vent to I’m always here, and I want to help
